The Ingredients:
- 1/4 kilo Pork meat (Sliced into small pieces)
- 1/2 cup Squash
- 2 Tomatoes
- 1/2 cup String Beans
- 5 cloves Garlic
- 2 Onions
- Black ground pepper
- Salt
- 1/4 cup Sesame Oil
- 1 cup water
- Ginger Powder
- 1/4 cup bagoong (Shrimp Paste)
- Wash the pork and vegetables.
- Minced the garlic,onions. Slice the squash (desired size).
- Heat sesame oil in frying pan
- Saute the garlic and onions in sesame oil.
- Add the pork . cook until its lightly brown.
- Add in all the vegetables. Cook until vegetable is done (careful not to overcook).
- Salt , pepper , garlic powder and bagoong (shrimp paste) to taste.
- Server hot (better with plain rice).
Trivia Spot:
The Pinakbet or pakbet is a popular Ilocano dish in the Philippines.A Tagalog version usually includes calabaza or what we call squash.
